Borchardts host Field Day

During the field day at Dan and Meredith Borchardt’s prairie July 25, a monarch larvae climbs a flower. Meredith said it’s a good hopeful sign [of butterflies]. “We like to promote more diversity,” said Dan Borchardt, Pheasants Forever Farm Bill Wildlife Biologist, “because the more plants, the more different kinds of flowers, different kinds of shapes, you’re going to have different insects and different wildlife using it…The more you can do [diversity], the better for wildlife.” (Pat Racette Photo)
