Board catches up on first three weeks

School is in session.

After three weeks of activities, classes and meetings, Monday’s Board of Education brought about a summary of the beginning of the 2014-15 school year.

New Superintendent Joel Foster reported finances, finding the district will finish last fiscal year in the negative for the second time, and have to take another trip to Des Moines in December to see the School Budget Review Committee.

An audit done last week will show the 2013-14 budget, however, a second audit may be done to be certain about the numbers.
