Big inning gets best of Bearcats

ALLISON — North Butler head baseball coach Travis Miller said he wasn’t expecting to have Kane Allison pitch as much as he did against Belmond-Klemme on Friday, June 29.
But with starter Beau Thompson’s shoulder hurting after just two innings, Allison did a good job on the mound in relief.
It was just one bad inning he ran into that proved to be the difference in this 10-6 loss to the Broncos.
“He’s only pitched like three innings the whole year,” coach Miller said of Allison. “He was going to pitch in relief tonight, hoping for the last inning, but something was going on with Beau’s shoulder, we didn’t know about it..."
