Clarksville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was a busy place Saturday morning, Sept. 7 as the Eighth Annual Benning-Mehmen Tractor Ride stopped by with 35 vintage tractors.
The Benning-Mehmen Tractor Ride started at MBS Family Farms, just north of Plainfield. Clarksville was the first stop of the day. From Clarksville, the ride proceeded to Shell Rock, Waverly and Horton, before riders headed back home.
“It started out as a neighborhood party…” said Bill Benning. “It’s just like when people go camping or something. Everybody gets together; everybody knows everybody. It’s camaraderie.”
At Clarksville Skilled Nursing, the riders enjoy visiting and reminiscing with the residents.
