Bearcats win ‘comfortable’ over N-P

GREENE – North Butler’s girls basketball team has had so many close down-to-the-wire wins lately, it was like a sigh of relief to get a more “comfortable” 46-31 win over rival Nashua-Plainfield last week.
The Bearcats built a 42-23 lead after the third quarter and then coasted on Tuesday, Jan. 31 during its Coaches vs. Cancer games at home.
“It’s nice,” North Butler coach Kevin Clipperton said, “but we’ve got to finish lay-ups. I mean, it’s what has cost us a lot of our ball games. We get the shots we want inside and then we just miss. To beat good teams and to make a run, we’ve got to finish those..."
