Bearcats survive North Iowa to go 3-0

GREENE – For the first time in 10 years, North Butler’s boys’ basketball team has started the season 3-0.
It took surviving a scrappy North Iowa team on Saturday, Dec. 2 to do so, getting a late basket by Dylan Clipperton and a last-second steal by Chase Eiklenborg for the 39-37 victory.
Bearcat coach Dave Brown said he didn’t know the last time his team had started so well and said he was already looking toward the next one on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at Central Springs.
It also came on the heels of a quality win over Mason City Newman, with a quick turnaround.
“Whether it is one point or 20 points, the bottom line is you’ve got to get the ‘W,’ right?” Brown said...
