Bearcats play well; Clarksville girls win team portion

GREENE – North Butler won three of the top four medals to be gained at its home quadrangular on Thursday, April 18 at Round Grove Country Club, taking the top spot in both the girls’ and boys’ portion of the meet.
Beau Thompson earned the boys’ overall meet medalist spot with a 42, with a one stroke edge over Osage’s Zach Duren. His younger sister, Meg Thompson, was the girls’ overall meet medalist with 52 while Rainy Kock was the medalist runner-up for the Bearcats with 55.
A brisk day, it was low 50s with a constant northwest breeze and skies that looked like it could rain, though none fell.
