Bearcats just miss Jones Bros. title

IOWA FALLS – One mere point separated North Butler-Clarksville wrestlers from the 10th Annual Jones Brothers Invitational title on Saturday, Dec. 16.
The Bearcats had an outstanding final round to come out of third place following the consolation semifinals to take second behind Mason City Newman, 163-162.
“We just got on a roll and kept going, got a lot of pins and won 9 of 11 (finals) matches,” coach Gordy Smith said, “we wrestled pretty good and I’m just proud of the guys the way they battled all day..."
