Bearcats end season against Riceville

CLARKSVILLE — North Butler’s boys’ basketball team’s season drew to a close with a 49-38 loss to Riceville despite a late rally on Wednesday, Feb. 13.
“We didn’t shoot very well (early),” North Butler coach Dave Brown said. “We shot ourselves in the foot a lot. We do so good and then we make mistakes. I told the guys that the difference would be rebounding and turnovers. Well, we did rebound well, but we turned the ball over a little too much and obviously we shot horrible.”
The Bearcats trailed by as much at 13 with four minutes, 34 seconds left to go before a mini-run pulled them to within five with 1 minute, 29 seconds remaining.
