Bearcat boys’ runners fifth in the East

MASON CITY – In an always-competitive Top of Iowa Conference meet, the North Butler boys raced to an eighth-place overall finish and fifth in the East Division on Thursday, Oct. 12.

Eric Brehmer was the first to cross the finish line for the Bearcats, 34th overall in team scoring and 16th in the East, making a last burst to finish just ahead of a Mason City Newman runner at 19 minutes, 42.3 seconds.

Coach Kirk Clark’s team scored 129 team points for the East finish with Trevor Brinkman coming across the line next in 22nd.
