Trees Forever Committee were in Des Moines recently to receive the Tree City Growth Award. This is the 19th year Allison has received the Tree City USA Award and the 17th year for the Growth Award. Only about 14 percent of the Tree City USA entries qualify for the Growth Award.
The Trees Forever committee in conjunction with other groups and volunteers continue to make progress in community tree planting and general development of beautiful Wilder Park.
In 2015 the value of all volunteer labor, uses of machines, camping fees, donations and grants, amounted to an estimated $81,000.
Total financial income and support since the Park was donated in 1992 would be estimated at one and one-quarter million dollars.
