ALLISON — If the Allison City Council passes the budget now proposed, the tax on non-agricultural property within city limits will rise 66.2 cents per $1,000 assessed valuation, to $19.35227 per $1,000.
There will be no change on the ag service levy because it is already at its maximum.
A public hearing on the proposed budget will be at 5:15 p.m. Monday, March 9 at City Hall, 410 N. Main St.
For homeowners and farmhouses in city limits with assessments at $100,000, that means $1,078.44 per year, or $539.22 per tax bill.
