Allison Fire Department updates council

Allison Fire Department representatives updated Allison City Council on their activities on Monday, Aug. 8. Fire Chief Brad Cooper, reached by phone Tuesday, provided details on funding priorities department members discussed, and on some ways funding will be sought, including a Sept. 2 fundraiser.
Turnout gear was assessed. Gear is 10 to 15 years old. Ten sets that needed the most attention were selected for replacement, Cooper said. Gear replacement cost is estimated to be $2,500 per person, Cooper said.
