Ag test plot to be planted at North Butler football field in Allison

Ag test plot to be planted at North Butler football field in Allison.
The North Butler Community Schools Agriculture Education program will be planting a test plot this spring, the administration announced.
Through the generous donations of seed corn by Chuck Becker of Channel Seeds, chemicals and fertilizer through Landus Cooperative of Allison, and time and equipment by Bixby Farms, this is possible. The test plot will be located on the school grounds in Allison, at the location of the old football practice field. This plot will be between 1 and 2 acres, and will provide North Butler ag and science students with educational opportunities throughout the school year.
"Thank you to Ag teacher Jym Hansen, and those who have worked to make this happen, including the wonderful sponsors of the program who have donated either their time and or materials!" said Superintendent Joel Foster.
