130+ attend Progressive Ag Safety Day

More than 130 fourth-graders from the Allison, Aplington, Clarksville, Greene and Parkersburg areas attended Progressive Agriculture Safety Day on Thursday, May 5 at the Butler County Fairgrounds in Allison, according to Butler County Extension.
Students rotated through 12 sessions on chemical, firearm, electrical, sun, water, tractor, fire, animal, railroad, bike, ATV and grain safety.
County Youth Coordinator Holly Merritt organized this year’s event.
“A big thank-you to all the presenters and participants,” Merritt stated. “We had an awesome day!”
