Clarksville Fire Department showed up shortly after the alarm system went off to get control of the blaze at Casey's General Store in town. Last Friday, kindergartners walked to the Clarksville Fire Department during Fire Prevention Week. The students were taught fire safety skills, and also had the chance to direct the fire hose and ride on the fire truck back to school.

Last Saturday at Wilder Park, the inaugural Harvest Moon was held. An omelet breakfast was hosted by the Allison Club Lions to begin the event, before a ribbon-cutting ceremony took place to name the new intrapark trail after the late Lester Schrage, who volunteered and worked countless hours as one of the founders of Wilder Park. With most people decorating houses for Christmas, Rick and Janice Wehrhan focus more attention on Halloween. Located on the 200th block of Elm Street, the Wehrhans created an Elm Street Cemetery, along with several other scenes.
